There was a time when I tried to do art describing my pain as a female person using my own body as the medium. I quickly realized that invited more brutality than catharsis.

Why is it that the violence of male inventions can paint a more accurate picture of my experiences than my own natural body?

The materials I used for this piece are intentionally anti-feminine. They are objects of hate, disregard, and force.

But, if you peered into my body, you would see the power to create a universe.
